Cloud9 has decided to completely overhaul its lineup for the upcoming season. When the initial reports about Fudge possibly shifting roles surfaced, long-time Cloud9 fans were unsure how to react. Fortunately for C9, their newest top lane addition is a player who has already proven his worth in the LCK. Summit from Liiv SANDBOX will be filling Fudge’s shoes. Summit was the clear star on the lineup while Liiv SANDBOX struggled as a team.

Berserker and Winsome, two young players, will also be joining the team. Berserker will serve as the team’s newest AD carry, having transferred from T1 Challengers. Alongside Berserker will be Winsome, a former Shadow Battlica supporter who many people only know because of recent speculations regarding Cloud9’s interest in signing him. Isles from Cloud9 Academy will be waiting in the wings. Isles wowed the crowds when playing with K1ng, and he’ll now have an opportunity to compete for a starting LCS spot.

Cloud9 won the LCS Mid-Season Showdown in 2021 but was eliminated early from the Mid-Season Invitational. During the 2021 Summer Split, they struggled even more, eventually losing in the playoffs against 100 Thieves. Their most notable achievement this year came at the 2021 World Championship, where they advanced to the knockout stage by defeating both China’s FunPlus Phoenix and Europe’s Rogue in the event’s infamous Group of Death.
