It is India’s first-ever official Pokemon UNITE tournament and will be streamed exclusively on the LOCO platform.
The Pokemon UNITE community from India was quite devastated when our country was not included in any of the participating regions in the Pokemon UNITE Championship Series. Although the players will not be able to represent India at any international event in the near future, the many popular streamers and esports teams are still engaged in the game because of its potential. Still, it looks the game developers have not forgotten the potential of the Indian region. In their latest update released on 14th March, the Hindi language support was added to the game. It will help local players to familiarize themselves with the game details and mechanics more easily. To celebrate this, LOCO will be organizing the Pokemon UNITE City Tournament 2022 in April. It will be a community tournament for game streamers which will be streamed exclusively on the LOCO platform.
According to LOCO, players for the city tournament will be scouted from major cities across India, and star streamer captains will select their respective team players via an auction. The purpose of this tournament is to give an opportunity to the talented Pokemon UNITE to showcase their skills and strategies. The platform will also be integrating exciting giveaways to the people watching it live which can help to boost the community further.
