Legendary X-Men Rogue and Gambit skins are now available in the Fortnite Item Shop: In recent years, Fortnite has released a number of X-Men characters, including fan favorites like Wolverine, Storm, Mystique, and Dark Phoenix. Today, that number has increased thanks to the addition of the Gambit and Rogue to Fortnite.
Epic Games has a regular supply of Marvel characters, but the inclusion of Gambit and Rogue are particularly shocking, considering the two haven’t appeared in anything important in a long time. Nonetheless, the heroes have a large fan base, and it appears like many people will be delighted to see them in the game.

In the X-Men comics, Gambit and Rogue share a fascinating backstory. Rogue initially appeared as a member of Mystique’s Brotherhood of Evil Mutants in Avengers Annual #10. After joining the X-Men in X-Men #171, released in 1983, the character was able to atone for her past actions. While he is often connected with Gambit, Marvel’s Ragin’ Cajun first appeared in Uncanny X-Men Annual #14 in 1990. The two characters rapidly established an on-again, off-again romance, which was presented in both the comics and Fox’s X-Men: The Animated Series, which is thought to have played a significant influence in developing Gambit and Rogue’s popularity. In 2018’s X-Men: Gold #30, the two were ultimately married in the comics.
