LEC Spring 2022: Participating Teams
There will be ten teams participating in the League of Legends European Championship Spring Split 2022. Before this season started, FC Schalke 04 Esports sold their slot to Team BDS, who will now take up their spot.

LoL European Championship Spring 2022: Important announcement related to COVID-19
As the new variant of COVID-19 is spreading and cases are rising across Europe, teams will now compete remotely from their own training facilities for the start of the 2022 Spring Split regular season. This step has been taken by the organizers to safeguard the health and well-being of the players, coaches, team personnel, and staff members. The situation will be monitored on a weekly basis and after things are back to normalcy, the season will be held in the LEC studio in Berlin.

LoL European Championship Spring 2022: Format
The League of Legends European Championship Spring Split 2022 will have the following format.
- Group Stage:
- It will have a Double Round Robin format.
- Every team will play a total of 18 matches.
- All the matches in the Group Stage will be best-of-1.
- Playoffs Stage:
- It will follow a double-elimination format.
- All the matches in the Playoffs will be the best-of-5 series.
LoL European Championship Spring 2022: Schedule and Dates
Till now the schedule for only the group stage has been released. The schedule of the Group Stage of LEC Spring 2022 will be as follows:
- It will start on 14th January and will be held till 7th March.
- The matches will be held three days in the week, on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Only in the opening week and the final week of the Group Stage will the games be also held on Mondays.
- As the games are best-of-1 matches, there is a gap of an hour between each game.

LoL European Championship Spring 2022: Prize pool
The League of Legends European Championship Spring Split 2022 will have a prize pool of 200,000 Euros. It will be divided among the top 6 teams in the following manner.
- 1st Place: Qualifies for the Mid-Season Invitational 2022 and 80,000 Euros as reward money.
- 2nd Place: Gets 50,000 Euros as reward money.
- 3rd Place: Gets 30,000 Euros as reward money.
- 4th Place: Gets 20,000 Euros as reward money.
- 5th Place: Gets 12,500 Euros as reward money.
- 6th place: Gets 7,500 Euros as reward money.
