In previous Worlds tournaments, the competition was held solely in the United States of America. This will be the first time that Riot Games will be conducting the tournament in multiple countries across North America. This will help the game to attract greater international audiences across the North American continent, where the game has been slightly declining in viewership in the past few years.

The Grand Finals of Worlds 2021 between Damwon KIA and Edward Gaming broke the previous viewership records and peaked at over 4 million viewers, according to Esports Charts. And this was without considering the Chinese viewers who celebrated in joy as their team, Edward Gaming, lifted the Summoner’s Cup. 24 teams will advance for the Worlds 2022 tournament from the 12 regions. The dates have still not been announced for it. Stay with us as we bring you further updates regarding the League of Legends World Championship 2022.
