League of Legends Patch 12.3 update will bring in many new changes in the game: Phlox who is a designer on the League of Legends Summoner’s Rift team has recently tweeted about the upcoming changes that players can expect in the next Patch 12.3. From the shortlist that he provided, it looks like many champions who had started to dominate the middle lane are going to be hit with nerfs. Many items are also going to get adjusted and some champion adjustments will also be there. Here is a list of all the changes that we know about.
Hey all!
Pretty interesting patch coming your way. We’re adjusting the fighter system to be less health skewed (more info tomorrow). We’ve also got some changes for pro champs and Ahri among others!
If you missed it, Chem Terrain was disabled in a hotfix today.

Champions getting buffed in Patch 12.3:
Along with the League of Legends Patch 12.3, the following champions will receive a buff.
- Lillia
- Quinn
Both of these heroes have fallen off the meta for quite some time as their abilities did not shine against the current meta champions. We hope that some buffs will make these two champions more viable in the game.
Champions getting nerfed in Patch 12.3:
The following champions will get hit with the nerf hammer in Patch 12.3:
- Zeri
- Senna
- Caitlyn
- Amumu
- Corki
- Twisted Fate
- LeBlanc
- Pyke (Mid)
- Glacial Augment on Janna
The nerfs on these champions are justified. As a new champion, Zeri was bound to get nerfed because of her overpowered abilities. Senna and Caitlyn are getting banned in almost every game in the professional competitive scenes because of their late-game scaling. Corki with his package, Pyke (Mid), LeBlanc, and Twisted Fate has become dominators of the middle lane. Thus a nerf can help players to lane against them more fairly. The extra slow from Glacial Augment makes Jenna are permanent CC machine as she can constantly slow enemies with her abilities.
Champion Adjustments in Patch 12.3:
The following champions will receive adjustments:
- Ahri
- Nami
The developers of League of Legends had already stated in the Season announcement video that they are looking to update the entire model of Ahri. Hence this adjustment may refer to that. Nami may also get some small changes done to her passive.
Item Adjustments in Patch 12.3:
The following items will receive some level of adjustments in the game:
- Turbo Chemtank
- Sunderer
- Goredrinker
- Trinity Force
- Steraks Gage
- Death’s Dance
- Black Cleaver
- Ravenous Hydra
- Maw of Malmortius
- Hexdrinker
- Hearthbound Axe
- Blade of the Ruined King
These will be the changes that players can expect in the upcoming League of Legends Patch 12.3. Stick with us as we bring to you the latest updates regarding the League of Legends.
