League of Legends Arcane Series: Enemy song by Imagine Dragons and JID has been released
While Arcane is set to have a worldwide Netflix release on 6th November, the timing of the release of this music video can be viewed as Riot’s part to create hype on their upcoming animated series. The music video portrays the harsh upbringing conditions of young Jinx, focusing especially on her past relationship with Vi (and Ekko perhaps?).
The perspective of the music video is shown from Jinx’s side. She and Vi (and possibly Ekko) belong to a group that lives on the harsh streets of Zaun. The music video shows how Jinx, who initially was weak and afraid of crime, slowly started to embrace it.
Her bonding with Vi also takes the center stage at one point in the music video as we see that both of them used to play together in their childhood. But as they grew up, they started having arguments and Vi’s angry outbursts scared Jinx. From here, we can feel that Jinx started considering that “everybody wants to be my enemy” as we see her lip-syncing to these lyrics multiple times at the end of the song.
The music video has the animated versions of JID and all the band members of Imagine Dragons. They are shown sitting inside a bar in Zaun when teen Jinx enters the place. As she winds up her toy monkey, it makes a sound that attracts them and they start singing in the video. It will be the second song that Imagine Dragons have done for Riot Games after Warriors, which they released for the Worlds 2014 Championships.
Riot Games will hope that their attempt to attract more audiences through the exploration of League of Legends folklore becomes successful. Stay tuned with us to obtain the latest information on Arcane, League of Legends folklore, and more.
