LCK Spring 2022: T1 defeats Gen.G in the Grand Finals to be the champions- The much-awaited LCK Spring 2022 Grand Finals were held today and fans got to see some exciting matches. While it looked like a close series halfway through with a 1-1 score, T1 dominated Gen.G and closed the final two matches in their favor. With this, they won the best-of-5 match series by 3-1. Here is how everything went down.
LCK Spring 2022: T1 defeats Gen.G in the Grand Finals to be the champions
1st Match
T1 picked Lux, Caitlyn, Ryze, Nocturne, and Camille while Gen.G went with Ornn, Volibear, Viktor, Ezreal, and Karma. While T1 had high mobility champions, Gen.G went with a mixture of tanky frontlines and burst champions.
Gen.G looked quite disorganized in their team fights as T1 were able to continuously break their formation and punish them. While they were able to get some early objectives, T1 always punished them and created a large lead. They won the game in the 30th minute with a 15-8 kill score over Gen.G.
2nd Match
T1 took Nautilus, Jinx, Ryze, Lucian, and Diana while Gen.G picked Akali, Lee Sin, Ahri, Xayah, and Alistar. T1 had a more squishy but scaling roster while Gen.G had a more balanced team composition.
T1 played quite aggressively in this match but Gen.G was able to make various counter plays due to their own high mobility champions. It helped them survive the T1 aggression to finally win the game. Gen.G won in the 35th minute with a 29-17 kill score.
3rd Match
T1 selected Jinx, Tahm Kench, Ahri, Viego, and Jayce while Gen.G had Yuumi, LeBlanc, Xayah, Camille, and Lee Sin. T1 was able to out draft Gen.G by picking a lot of meta champions which proved to be crucial in team fights.
This was a one-sided match as T1 dominated Gen.G in all of the lanes. While Gen.G tried to fight back, the lack of engaging support made it harder for them to win team fights, especially after they fell back in the gold lead. T1 won in the 37th minute with a 15-3 kill score.
4th Match
Gen.G took Akshan, Lee Sin, Ryze, Xayah, and Yuumi. T1 on the other hand chose Kennen, Viego, Jinx, Ahri, and Thresh. T1 was again able to out draft Gen.G as they picked their comfort champions in the game.
Although Gen.G had scaling champions, T1 constantly ganked the lanes to get early kills which helped them get a gold lead. Plus some bad calls and team fight losses made it almost impossible for Gen.G to come back in the game. T1 won the game in the 27th minute with a 21-4 kill score.
