KT Rolster Y and Kwangdong Freecs book their spots in Wild Rift Global Championship Icons- The first iteration of League of Legends Wild Rift Champions Korea (WCK) 2022 Spring has finally reached the Grand Finals. Having reached here, KT Rolster Y and Kwangdong Freecs have automatically qualified for the upcoming Wild Rift Global Championship Icons. They are the first two teams to book their spot in the first world championship tournament that will take place this summer in Europe.
Only three teams will be able to qualify for the world championship tournament from Wild Rift Champions Korea. With KT and Freecs already being selected, the final team to qualify will be the third-place holders of WCK 2022 Spring. It means whoever wins the Third Place Match between T1 and Team GP will get the qualifying spot.

WCK 2022 Spring: Semi-Finals Recap
The first Semi-Finals match was a best-of-5 series between T1 and KT Rolster Y. Both teams looked quite good as each match was a close battle between them. With back-and-forth wins and losses, KT won the 1st, 3rd, and finally the 5th match to become the winners of this series. T1 was able to win only the 2nd and 4th matches of this best-of-5 series. With a 3-2 match score, KT Rolster Y advanced to the Grand Finals while T1 dropped to the Third Place Match series.
The second semi-finals looked like a one-sided series. Kwangdond Freecs were able to completely dominate Team GP. Team GP went with off-meta jungle champions. Rather than countering Freecs’ meta champions, GP was unable to perform with their champion draft picks. Thus, Kwangdong Freecs won the best-of-5 series by 3-0 to qualify for the Grand Finals. Team GP will battle against T1 for third place in WCK 2022 Spring as well as the qualifying spot for Wild Rift Global Championship Icons.
The upcoming Wild Rift Global Championship is the largest esports tournament in the game. The winners will be crowned as the best team in the world in the Wild Rift.
