Kick owner on ViewBot: Eddie Craven sheds light following accusations of fake views over Kick Streaming platform
CodyRiffs discussed his streaming experience on Kick in a video that was posted to YouTube on April 7. CodyRiffs stated that he was initially astounded by the enormous number of viewers he was able to draw on his very first stream, but afterwards realised that his audience count was probably exaggerated by a few points. He also called Kick a “trainwreck” for inflating views.
Kick also reportedly provides broadcasters with better revenue options than its rivals, which makes it a desirable choice for content producers trying to make a livelihood through streaming. Nevertheless, despite its achievements, Kick has come under fire for how it handled several circumstances. Kick has been accused of faking its viewership numbers with viewbots in light of debates surrounding the site’s moderation.

Eddie Craven quickly followed by shedding some light on the subject by explaining how this might be the case. “Kick, according to well-respected sites such as similarweb, had over 58m visitors in March alone, compared to ‘only’ 3m registered accounts,” he explained. “Majority of our traffic is still unauthenticated and are yet to create accounts. It’s a new platform and people are slowly signing up every day …”
“Subsequently, such as in your case, when you find yourself on the homepage for the music section you’ll naturally attract clicks,” he added.
I appreciate the constructive feedback in the video. We’re working on all points you addressed already 🙂

Changes that are made in response to suggestions not only solve particular issues but also improve the platform’s reputation and overall success. Time will tell how things develop for the platform, but for the time being, many creators are enjoying it, and if they can maintain the momentum, Twitch may experience a decline in popularity.
