Regional events were already held to give an opportunity for players to showcase the talent and test their skills. This was the first time when players from all regions competed in one platform to be the best among them. There were 8 regional finals where top 16 players qualified for finals. Due to Covid-19 pandemic, global travel was not possible therefor players competed from their home regions. After three months of competition, the tournament was held online with the top 16 teams with a total prize pool of $200,000.

Day 1 at TeamFight Tactics Galaxies Championship, in round one Lev D started off with a win while Double61 finished in the sixth place. KC Double61 quickly rebounded in round 2 and continued the victory in round 3&4 and earned the champion title of TeamFight Tactics Galaxies Championship.

Day 2 of finals witnessed top 8 players around the globe fighting for the $40,000 grand prize and TeamFight Tactics Galaxies Championship title. There was also a different format in the finals where players ought to reach a total of 18 points before they had a chance to win TFT Worlds. Once hitting that 18-point mark, those players needed a first-place finish to claim the title.

Getting three lobby wins in a row during competitive play is rare in TFT. But for KC Double61, getting a three-game win streak seemed to be an easy task, earning the young French player the first team fight Tactics Worlds title.
