HyperFront was released in 2022 on Android and iOS platforms. According to Riot Games’ lawsuit, the game had a lot of similarities to VALORANT. From characters, maps, weapons, weapon skins, UI, and charms, The game seemed to have copied a lot of elements from Riot Games’ PC shooter IP.

The game was already unavailable in the US (where Riot Games is from) and on March 31, logging in to the game through Facebook was also disabled. Today, the developers of Hyper Front finally announced the closure of the game and all its servers at 08:00 AM (UTC+0) on April 10.
The developers have also assured they will be deleting players’ account data, character data, and other crucial information to protect their privacy and security.
Many people in the gaming community are pointing out that Hyper Front was forced to shut down due to Riot’s lawsuit. There were many instances of copyright infringement as Hyper Front developers mirrored VALORANT’s creative choices with only slight modifications.
VALORANT MOBILE RELEASING SOON?
Although Hyper Front’s journey ends on April 10, mobile players will be eagerly waiting for when Riot officially announces a VALORANT Mobile game. There have been some image leaks of the game and also various rumors citing VALORANT Mobile might debut in the mid of 2023. There are also mentions of VALORANT Mobile conducting its first test in China.

Still, it might be too soon as Rushinder Sinah, CEO of Global Esports, stated the mobile game might not be released in 2023. But he also mentioned that Riot may release a detailed update about it by the middle of the year.
