International Esports Federation announces 6 esports that will be part of the 14th WE Championships in Bali – We will witness the 14th edition of the IESF’s flagship event, the 2022 World Esports Championships later this year. It will be held in Bali, Indonesia from 27th November to 9th December. Esports athletes from across the world will compete for their country at this prestigious international event.
The International Esports Federation (IESF) has announced that six esports gaming titles will be featured in the 2022 World Esports Championships. Over 120 nations are expected to participate in this event with their teams. The six featured esports titles will be:
- Counter Strike:Global Offensive
- DOTA 2
- Tekken 7
- eFootball series
- PUBG Mobile
- Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
Apart from PC and console gaming titles, the addition of even mobile games like PUBG Mobile and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang shows that IESF is aware of the rising popularity of the mobile gaming market. Moreover, it also provides a platform to those esports players who never played the PC or console games because they did not have access to them. The IESF will also hold its first-ever CS:GO female tournament.
Boban Totovski, who is the IESF General Secretary has said, “The inclusion of these spectacular six game titles in the 2022 WE Championships supports our mission to unite, support and promote the World Esports Family. We are very grateful for the continued collaboration with publishers, the inclusion of two new mobile titles, and to feature of the first CS: GO female tournament this year. Together, we are working towards a more accessible and inclusive Esports community.”
Over 100 member countries will participate in the event. The registration process for the National federations will start from 20th February on IESF’s new platform.
