Indian gaming community together exhibited the strength they hold to all people around the world. #gamerstandwithindia initiative was a great success, all credit goes to the supporters and fans of this community. And we cannot forget the man behind this initiative, Animesh Aggarwal aka 8bitThug the owner of 8Bit Esports.
The two days fundraising event with more than 16+ hours stream by Thug made this possible. 8bitThug played some classic matches on the first day of the event with Mortal, Ghatak and Mamba followed by some roasts of the pro players of Team Fnatic. There were some TDM matches, fun rooms with different teams, streamers, influencers and some famous personalities. The eye-catching event of the day one was when the old lineups reunited for the custom matches. We saw some old lineups of Team Soul consisting Mortal, Experiment, Nova and Iconic and Team IND consisting ScoutOP, Daljitsk, Trance and Kratos.

The total amount raised during the day 1 was 11,35,000 INR including 2,10,000 INR donation from 8bitThug himself and 50,000 INR from the pro player and streamer Mortal. All the funds raised during the event will be donated to https://www.giveindia.org/.
The day 2 of the event saw some famous personalities onboard including Harsh Beniwal, BeYouNick, Tanmay Bhat, Kumar Varun and many more. The winning roster of the PMIS and PMCO Spring Split also came together including Mortal, Viper, Ronak and Owais. There were some good discussions between the managers of TSM Entity, Fnatic and Global Esports regarding the plans of the organizations and expansion onto other titles in future. They also discussed how they see the future of esports in India in the coming years.
At the end of the charity event, 17,87,500 INR was raised for the relief fund. As in whole, the event was a great success for Thug and his team and we congratulate him to pull out this event and raise such a huge amount for the people that are affected by COVID 19.
