They predict that there would be more than 630 million players worldwide in 2026, who will generate $1.4 billion in revenue. Revenue from real money gaming is not included in this analysis. With 98.8% of players in India using mobile devices, 85% of the country’s gaming revenue comes from mobile devices. Niko asserts that gamers now have a greater propensity to pay and that both the overall number of consumers and their average spending are rising. 34% of Indian gamers, according to the research, spent money on games this year. The company predicts that growth would be lower in 2019 than in 2022 since the country will experience the effects of the BGMI ban for the first full year. If more mobile games are prohibited in 2023, the growth rate might drop even further, according to Niko.
The markets with the fastest increase in in-game sales and gamers are India, Thailand, and the Philippines. China presently has the greatest gaming population in the world, according to the survey.
