Gamers8 IESF Asian Championship: format and timelines explained
This championship is set to kick off with an online preliminary round from May 1 to 16. The event will feature six games, including PUBG Mobile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, CS:GO, Dota 2, Tekken 7, and eFootball™. This will be followed by the live event in Riyadh from July 10 to 17, which will be part of Gamers8 – the world’s largest esports and gaming festival.

The winners from the online preliminary round and the live event in Riyadh will advance to the WE Championship Finals in Iași, Romania in August. The offline round of the Gamers8 IESF Asian Championship will also be part of Gamers8.
The online Asia & Oceania qualifiers are the first of several months of exciting international esports competition, with qualifiers for the Americas, Europe, and Africa to follow. The event aims to unite esports stakeholders from all over the world and bring together elite esports competition.
Saudi Esports Federation Deputy CEO Ahmed Albishri said: “The Asian Championship is a great reward for all Asian players. We are excited to host this tournament for the first time during the summer of 2023 at Gamers8 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to show off the best skills and provide an unforgettable esports experience.“
