IEM Rio Major 2022 Champions Stage: MOUZ and Outsiders moved to the Semi finals – The first day of the Champions Stage was very dramatic to watch. There were only two matches held in the quarterfinal, from which 2 teams MOUZ and Outsiders qualified for the semifinals, and the competing teams got eliminated. IEM RIO MAJOR 2022 CHAMPIONS STAGE: QUARTERFINALS
Cloud9 vs MOUZ
This was a best-of-3 series match and was one of the most exciting of this series. The first game was played on the maps of inferno in which Cloud9 won with a score of 16 – 11. Then MOUZ took things seriously and won the next two matches which were played on the maps of Overpass and ancient with a score of 16 – 13 and 16 – 9. After this match, MOUZ got qualified for the semifinals and Cloud9 got eliminated and placed in 5th position according to the prize pool table.

Fnatic vs Outsiders
This was a very one-sided match and also it didn’t look like quarterfinal match. The Outsiders made Fnatic sweet by winning two consecutive matches and showed them their way out of the game. The first game was on the map of Inferno in which outsiders won with a score of 16 – 11 and in the second game they won with a score of 16 – 8 which was played on the map of Mirage. After this match Outsiders got qualified for the semifinals and Fnatic got eliminated and placed in 6th position according to the prize pool table.

These were the highlights of Day 1 of the Champions Stage. There are 2 more games left in the Quarterfinals which are Heroic vs Spirit and NAVI vs Furia. Let us wait and see what happens in the semi-finals of the IEM Rio Major 2022.
