IEM Katowice 2020 : Navi beats G2 Esports in the Finals

Intel Extreme Masters Season XIV CS:GO World Championship saw the world’s best teams competing for the cup and the massive prize pool of USD 500,000.

Total of 16 teams from invites, qualifiers, and victories arrived in the event. In playoffs due to the dynamic changes in the global health situation, the Masters Championship at IEM Katowice 2020 was closed to the public by Polish Government of Silesia.

Team Navi reached the Playoffs from the Lower Bracket, on the other hand, G2 esports were the winners of Group B Stage directly confirming their slot in the Semi-finals.

  • Beat Ninjas in Pyjamas by 2-0

  • Beat G2 Esports by 3-0

The Grand Finals had a Best of 5 Matches which was won by the team in straight sets. Oleksandr Kostyliev aka S1MPLE became the MVP of the tournament for his outstanding performance throughout the championship.

Intel Extreme Masters World Championship is a major event of CS:GO organized every year by ESL. This time it settled to Katowice. From 2006 this annual Counter-Strike tournament has been one of the main attractions in the global Esports calendar. It’s an experience every fan wants to have and a stage where every player wants to perform at their best.

The IEM Season XV is scheduled to take place in Melbourne that will mark the presence of best 16 teams in the world. The prize pool of the event will be USD 250,000.
