HoYoverse announces the developement of the Genshin Impact Anime Series, CHECK DETAILS – It’s official! After years of pleading, the team behind Genshin Impact finally heard from the fans. HoYovere announced that it is developing an anime series for Genshin Impact, with the studio behind Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba overseeing the project.
The announcement was made during the last Genshin Impact live stream, and it’s safe to say that few people saw the update coming. HoYovere partnered with Ufotable to produce the anime series. What’s more, the pair call their partnership a “long-term project.” This means we’ll likely get a lot of anime titles focused on Genshin Impact, so fans can prepare for a wave of new content.

At this time, there is no word on which project will come out of this partnership first. Ufotable and HoYovere have released a concept trailer that highlights their vision for the anime. As you can see above, the reel is gorgeous and visits several key landmarks from Genshin Impact. So if we had to guess, the anime will probably start where the game’s archon quests take place, and tackle the city of freedom, Mondstat, when it falls.
Genshin Impact fans have been begging for an anime since the game’s live-action debut. The anime-inspired visuals of the title made it easy to imagine what a full-fledged anime might look like. Of course, rumors of a possible adaptation surfaced again and again but never came out. But today, all the expectations of the fandom paid off.
There is currently no set release window for the first Genshin Impact anime. HoYover’s team has a lot on their plate with the IP as it is. Not too long ago, the game introduced its newest nation, Sumeru, and update 3.0 has a lot to share. Another update will join the game later this month, and it plans to introduce players to the vast desert region of Sumeru.
