Honkai Star Rail: How to get Five Star characters in the game?
As you start playing Honkai: Star Rail and complete the main story missions, you unlock some characters for free. In the beginning, you have only one five-star character by default. It is the Trailblazer MC that you choose during character creation.
The Trailblazer MC is a decent five-star character and can help you clear most early-game content easily. But if you want another powerful five-star character, you do not need to worry as you get a guaranteed one from the game.

By just completing all game objectives, you can get up to 80 Star Rail passes in the game now. These passes can be used in the Warp section to pull for new characters. You can either pull one time using one pass or 10 times using 10 Star Rail passes.
Honkai: Star Rail gives a discount of 20 percent to every player at the beginning five times. It means that you can pull 10 characters/weapons by only using 8 passes for the first five times. The deal becomes greater as you can get a confirmed five-star character during those five pulls at Warp.
You can also gain special Star Rail Passes that can be used to pull specific five-star characters. But remember that these passes are very rare to get free and can only be bought with money otherwise in the game.
Hence by the time you complete the first map/stage of the story, you will be able to get two five-star characters.

- Clara (Physical)
- Himeko (Fire)
- Gepard (Ice)
- Yanqing (Ice)
