With 1.2 million concurrent viewers, Hogwarts Legacy has surpassed the previous record for the most viewed single-player game on Twitch. xQc had more than 108,000 live viewers and was the most popular Hogwarts Legacy streamer. The Canadian had earlier in the day criticized boycotters for criticizing Girlfriend Reviews, which caused them to break down in tears while streaming.

The controversial situation that the game is in now did little harm to it in terms of viewers and fans eager to try their hands at the game.
