The Epic Games Store is currently experiencing widespread outages after releasing Rockstar Games’ popular “Grand Theft Auto V” title for free, Epic confirmed. It caused just seconds after GTA V became available to download for free. Earlier this week developers revealed the free title of the week.
Since all the players were waiting for the announcement by the Epic Games regarding the game that was to released free for the week. Epic Games’ twitter handle accidentally revealed the game before time, the post was deleted quickly since countless gamers likely set alarms for the release.
Epic Games store was quick to respond to the outage, “We are currently experiencing high traffic on the Epic Games Store. We are aware that users may be encountering slow loading times, 500 errors, or launcher crashing at this time and we are actively working to scale. We’ll provide an update as soon as we can.”

Fortnite’s official Twitter account also chimed in, saying the issue was mainly affecting PC and Mac players.
The application shows just after the home screen a ‘500 Error’ flash with a ‘Back to Home’ button. One of the users also reported that their default language in the application also changed in error and he had to restart the app just to get it back.
The basic “GTA V” game for consoles and PCs typically costs $30. To just let you know GTA V will be free to download in the Epic Store until May 21.
