GodLike esports won the Gamers Without Borders Charity PUBG MOBILE tournament organised by the Saudi government to support many international charities fighting on the front-line against the spread of coronavirus. While GodLike were the champions of ASIA Division whereas Team 1218 won from the EMEA Division.
“Gamerswithoutborders” will feature a $10 million prize pool with Pubg Mobile tournament getting $1.5 million for both EPAC and ASIA Division. Moreover, each team who participated in the tournament received $2000.
EPAC division had its matches on 2nd-3rd May where Team 1218 emerged as the winner whereas The Real Deal secured the first runnerup position. On the other hand, the Asia region had a nail-biting finish in the tournament. Where GodLike esports secured the first position by beating TSM Entity with just 1 point. TSM Entity took the highest number of kills but fall short in taking the position points costing them with the number 1 position.
Later the team announced that the winning amount will be going towards International Medical Corps to aid the whole world against COVID 19. Chetan Changude, the owner of GodLike Esports said,” I am moved by the fact that I and my team GodLike are getting to be a part of something so bigger than ourselves. I feel proud that my team won the tournament and we get to help a greater cause with our gaming skills while staying safe in our own homes. We are thankful that we get to play a minuscule role in this global battle”
The event will feature various titles held over 7 weeks started from April 24 to June 7. Besides the competitions, Gamers Without Borders is also creating a learning opportunity for the people.
