After months of anticipation and discussion around the changes in the Global Esports Valorant team, we have finally found that former Paper Rex player Benedict “Benkai” Tan will join Global Esports as a new in-game leader after departing from Monyet. Interstingly, Monyet has now became part of Paper Rex Valorant roster.
The news came via Global Esports’s official X (Twitter) handle, where they announced, “A lot has been said, a lot has been unsaid, all we have to say is – it’s time to prove again. Welcome to GE; On behalf of SA we all look forward to your experience and antics!” Welcome to Global Esports, @eggs_benkai #GEFighting .

Global Esports Valorant Roster: Benkai Joins while Monyet departs
After the addition of Benkai, this is what the Global Esports roster looks like:
- Benedict “Benkai” Tan (Singapore)
- Ganesh “SkRossi” Gangadhar (India)
- Abhirup “Lightningfast” Choudhury (India)
- Park “Bazzi” Jun-ki (South Korea)
- Peter “Spin” Bradford (United Kingdom)
- Morgan “BigTime” Jay is the assistant coach (United Kingdom)
For the past few months, Global Esports went through a roller coaster ride. This comes just after the poor performance of Global Esports in the VCT Pacific League and followed by the Last Chance Qualifier. These back-to-back below-average shows made the fans raise doubt about the current roster’s capability. A week ago, the former player t3xture also announced his decision to leave the organisation along with Ayrin- the former coach.
Not to mention, the rumours around Ganesh ‘SkRossi’ Gangadhar leaving Global Esports intensified over the last few months. However, things look like settling now with news around the roster. This is most probably the final roster which will participate in the upcoming VCT 2024 Season.
