VCT APAC 2022 Challagers: Global Esports First team to be Eliminated

After losing both of their play-in games, Global Esports becomes the first team to be evicted from APAC Challengers. GE came in last place and received $2,000 USD for their efforts. Both games were close, and they could have ended up in anyone’s half. But in the end, it was Fancy United who emerged victorious. So, let’s look at the match report and specifics.  Global Esports Eliminated VCT APAC 2022 Challagers Global vs Fancy United

Global Esports, the number two seed from South Asia and India, was placed in Group B of the VCT 2022 APAC Challengers play-ins. To advance to the group stages, they needed to win two of their three games. The former VCC champion, GE, was also the first Indian team to compete in a VCT event. Last year’s APAC LCQ saw GE win a series and do better than this year’s event. Indian Valorant fans will now be pulling for Velocity Gaming, the number one seed, who will begin group stage play on March 16th. Global Esports Eliminated

Breeze was banned by Fancy United, while Fracture was removed by Global Esports as a result of the veto. Fancy United, like Griffin Esports, who defeated GE yesterday, chose Icebox first throughout the selecting process. Global Esports, on the other hand, made a move and chose Ascent. FCY banned Bind in the second round of Veto, prompting Global Esports to eliminate Split, leaving Haven as the decider, which was chosen by Global Esports yesterday. The match, however, did not go that far, as Fancy United overcame the South Asian representatives by a score of 2-0. On Icebox, the opening map ended with a score of 13-11, while on Ascent, it ended with a score of 13-10. Global vs Fancy United

On several occasions, the rounds were reduced to 1 against 1 matches, with Fancy United emerging as the victorious team. The Global Esports’ voyage at the VCT 2022 has come to an end with this loss, and they will now have to wait until the next VCC, which will take place in the second half of the year.
