After defeating Enigma Gaming in the Grand Finals, Global Esports became the first team to win the AMD Skyesports Souvenir Valorant LAN Championship. Global eSports reached the tournament finals after a long battle and faced Enigma Gaming for the second time after losing their first match at the event against them. Both teams chose the following maps for the Skyesports Souvenir 2022 Mumbai Grand Final series, which was meant to be a best of five: Bind, Fracture, Split, Haven, and Ascent. Global esports, on the other hand, was not in the mood to lengthen the game and wanted to get that glorious trope in front of them as quickly as possible. Engima gaming was completely clueless against Global Esports aggression in the first two maps. Even though Enigma were able to put up a highly intense battle on the map of Split but it was Global Esports who secured the map in the Overtime.
Enigma Gaming and Global eSports have faced off several times, and the odds haven’t always been in GE’s favour. Over the last few months, they’ve been consistently defeated by EG, even once in Skyesports’ own WD Black Cup Season 3 event, which followed a King of the Hill format that GE had won the previous two occasions. In a humiliating 3-0 defeat, EG were the ones to dethrone them.
The AMD Skyesports Souvenir Championship was the region’s first Valorant LAN event. The top four teams in the region competed in the event and gave some top-notch action in the last couple of days. Each of the four teams fought in a single round-robin style, with each team facing the other once.
