Normally, an update is 40-days long and we have never seen any delay. However, recently last Thursday the developers announced a delay in the release of the Genshin Impact 2.7 Update. Genshin Impact 2.7 Update Delayed: Here is everything we know so far
The famous open-word role-playing game was going to get its 2.7 updates on the 10th of May. However, due to some circumstances, the HoYoverse decided to delay the update. While the reasons were not revealed, it is safe to assume that this is due to the sudden Covid-19 Outbreak in Shanghai. The outbreak has led to a lockdown in the area and the HoYoverse offices have been affected adversely. The lockdown has been there since early April and it’s pretty reasonable for us to get a delay in the update of the game.
Genshin developers give us amazing content regularly. Currently, the second phase of the 2.6 updates is going on and the players were keenly waiting for May 10th. However, now the update has been delayed. While there has been no special announcement and a special program for the 2.7 updates, it’s highly likely for us to see Yelan as the new 5-star character. She will be a Hydro Bow character.
Let’s hope that the condition in Shanghai gets better soon and we get our update as soon as possible. Either way, it’s pretty sure that HoYoverse will not be disappointing us.
