Garena’s battle royale game Free Fire has been named the most-watched mobile game of Q3 2021, with 325 million hours watched. Garena Free Fire has grown at a rapid rate since its launch. It regularly sets new records and breaks previous ones, becoming a pioneer in the world of mobile gaming. Free Fire previously in the year 2020 had been the second most-adopted game on iOS.
The game’s success can largely be credited to its accessibility and minimal device requirements, making it available to everyone. On top of that, the game’s developers constantly focus on adding new features and content, including collaborations with major brands and celebrities, which keeps all the players engaged and interested.

Three of Q3 2021’s most-watched mobile categories are Garena Free Fire, PUBG Mobile, and Minecraft. A recent report by popular analytics firm Stream Hatchet states that Free Fire was the highest-viewed mobile game in the third quarter of 2021. In total, 325 million users viewed the Free Fire related content on all major streaming platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch.
As for gaming titles, Garena Free Fire was the fourth most-watched game out of all relevant titles. PUBG Mobile was also present in the list with a viewership of 247 million hours, making it the 8th most-watched title in Q3 of 2021. MOBA Game, Mobile Legends Bang Bang (MLBB) was the third most viewed mobile game for Q3 of 2021. With 240 million hours of viewing time, it ranked as the second most-watched MOBA game and ranked at number 10 overall.
However, Just Chatting topped the list of genres watched, reporting 708 million hours watched in that category. Immediately following Just Chatting was Rockstar’s popular title GTA 5, which was viewed over 657 million hours in the third quarter.
As noted in the report, mobile gaming titles are also receiving increased viewership, and the streaming numbers are expected to rise significantly in future, given the genre’s growth.. It would be interesting to see which titles emerge as the next big thing in this genre.
