Game 1
In the first match of the series, Gaimin managed to create a comeback to take a lead in the series. By the 40-minute mark, Team Liquid’s Dire side had gained a sizeable lead. But thanks to Quinn’s undefeated Timbersaw, Gaimin’s Radiant side managed to shift the momentum back in their favor by wiping out the entire Liquid team. From there, Gaimin closed the game in their favor.
Game 2
Learning from their mistakes in the previous game, Team Liquid managed to solidify their lead this time. Despite Gaimin Dire’s attempts that stretched the game to nearly 55 minutes, Liquid’s Radiant was able to maintain an advantage and ultimately grabbed the game to equalize the series.
Game 3
In the third game, Liquid got completely stomped by Gaimin. Not only was Gaimin’s Radiant able to win every lane, they also kept a lead over Liquid’s Dire throughout the match. The lead rose exponentially when Gaimin picked off multiple champions of Liquid in the mid-game. From there, it was just a formality for Gaimin as they won the game in 21 minutes.
Game 4
Both teams gave their best performance in the fourth game of the series. Despite Liquid’s Radiant winning most lanes in this game, Gaimin’s Dire was still able to be head-to-head by the 15-minute mark. Unfortunately for Liquid, their lineup completely fell off in the next 10 minutes after getting picked off multiple times by Gaimin. Gaimin was able to close out the game in 29 minutes and win the series by 3-1.
Gaimin Gladiators have shown that they are the best DOTA 2 team in the world. After Lima and Berlin, their victory in Bali has allowed them to win 3 DOTA 2 Major tournaments in a year. This a feat very few teams have achieved in the DOTA 2 competitive scene. Team Liquid still seems to be unable to break away from the past as they get defeated by Gaimin for the third time in a Major Grand Final in 2023.
