Going into the series, G2 Esports were clearly the favorites thanks to the great form they had showed earlier in the tournament. Meanwhile, Fnatic were the underdogs with a lot to prove since they were playing with a substitute top laner.
Game 1
In the first game of the series, G2 never allowed Fnatic to obtain a gold lead. They always countered Fnatic’s plays and answered back with their own. G2 Brokenblade’s K’Sante was the star of the show as he won crucial team fights in the mid game, helping G2 to secure map objectives and snowball the game out of Fnatic’s grasp. G2 won the first game in 27 minutes to take a lead in the series.
Game 2
If the first game was G2-favored, the second game was a complete stomp from them. G2 was able to get their signature picks like top lane Olaf and support Lissandra for which Fnatic did not have any counters. G2 felt unstoppable in the game as they got all map objectives, further worsening Fnatic’s comeback chances. The match ended sooner with G2 destroying Fnatic’s nexus in 25 minutes.

Game 3
With their backs against the wall, Fnatic needed a miracle to bounce back into the series. Thankfully, their rookie ADC Noah stepped up to give the Fnatic fans some hope. It was a long and close game as both teams engaged in back-and-forth skirmishes consecutively. Only after Fnatic secured the Baron in 25 minutes and aced the G2 lineup were they able to turn the game in their favor. It allowed Fnatic tp close the game and get their first win in the series.
Game 4
G2 were unfazed with their previous game loss and picked up their signature Draven champion for the team’s ADC Hans sama. With their jungler Yike continuously ganking bottom lane, the Draven was able to get multiple kills at get quite ahead of the enemy counterpart. This helped G2 win multiple team fights and end the game quickly in 23 minutes.
