G2 Esports CEO stepped down following the Andrew Tate controversy

G2 Esports CEO stepped down following the Andrew Tate controversy- Since G2 Esports’ inception, while it was still known as Gamers2, Carlos has always been a part of the team. G2 has grown to become one of the biggest esports organisations while he has been its CEO. Initial punishment for Carlos following his contentious encounter with Andrew Tate was an eight-week unpaid absence.

Carlos was suspended from G2 and has since left the company as a consequence of backlash from the organization’s supporters, esports stars, and even G2 employees for his affiliation with Tate.

Carlos made the announcement that he would be quitting the company he formed, G2, in a video that was uploaded to his personal Twitter account.

This is a very hard ending to what has been otherwise been a very meaningful, joyful experience.” He further continued that by stating that he was taking “full responsibility over everything that went on in the last few days.”

G2 made it clear in the announcement that they “do not support any form of misogyny” and that they are “fully committed to continuing the legacy of G2.”

Carlos left the firm a few days after declaring in a tweet in reaction to the 8 weeks of unpaid vacation that he would do whatever to safeguard this company and my coworkers.

In light of their CEO’s conflict with Tate, Valorant allegedly turned down G2’s request for a collaboration.
