The popular YouTuber has been enjoying a meteoric rise to fame, but a recent health scare has prompted him to take a step back from his hectic schedule.
IShowSpeed, known for his wild on-stream moments and global travels, had earlier reported suffering from a cluster headache, a severe type of headache that is usually short-lived. Assuring fans that he was okay, Speed’s father provided reassurance about his condition.

In a follow-up video from the back of the ambulance, IShowSpeed appeared visibly unwell, with his head severely swollen. He described feeling as if someone were “stabbing my eye with a knife” and expressed ongoing severe headaches. One of his eyes was entirely swollen shut, raising concerns among his followers.

After visiting multiple doctors, IShowSpeed’s condition was diagnosed as a severe sinus infection. A friend, slipper, who was with him in Tokyo, shared that the infection had pushed bacteria to the front of his eye, potentially saving him from permanent vision loss. Expressing gratitude for the excellent healthcare in Tokyo, slipper reassured fans that Speed would be okay.
“speed got very lucky his body pushed the extra bacteria from infection to the front of his eye and not the back. if it went behind his eye he would’ve lost vision permanently. god is good”, the streamer’s friend tweeted.
IShowSpeed was later released from the hospital, but his eye remained swollen. Acknowledging the seriousness of the situation, he mentioned his decision to take a break from extensive travel and prioritize rest and recovery. As he takes the time to recover, fans are sending their best wishes and support, hoping for a swift and complete recovery for the beloved YouTuber.
