Format and Schedule
Garena, the gaming giant behind Free Fire, has again chosen Thailand as the host country for this exciting event. Unlike previous editions, the 2023 FFWS will introduce a six-day Group Stage instead of the one-day Play-Ins.
Following this, the Grand Finale will be contested over three days rather than one. The Group Stage will take place in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, and will feature 18 teams competing across six match days.
These teams will be divided into three groups and face each other in a Round Robin format, playing a total of 36 matches. The top 12 performing teams at the end of this stage will secure their spots in the ultimate round.
The Grand Finale, held from November 24 to 26, will consist of 12 teams battling it out in 18 matches over the course of three days. The team that accumulates the most points will be crowned the champion and rewarded with a prestigious trophy and substantial prize money. While the specific prize pool for the Free Fire World Series 2023 has not been disclosed, rest assured, it will be worth competing for.
