Free Fire World Series (FFWS) 2021 which was scheduled for November cancelled now. The announcement has been made by Garena on the social media handles. The reason behind the cancellation was the covid-19 pandemic. To ensure the safety of management and players, Garena decided to cancel the biggest Free Fire tournament. Earlier this year Free Fire World Series 2021 Singapore has taken place where the event has become the biggest esports event of all time in terms of live viewership.
Garena announced, “We hope you’re all staying safe and well in these troubled times. While the pandemic continues to evolve around the globe, a fresh wave of outbreaks has affected many of our communities. In light of the pandemic, the Free Fire team has been making plans that maximize the safety and well-being of our players and staff. This includes the cancellation of the Free Fire World Series (FFWS 2021) in November as one possible plan.”
