Fortnite V23.10 Update: Check out the latest additional content in Fortnite Battle Royale – Fortnite, 3rd January v23.10 patch brings a new protective item to Battle Royale, the Guardian Shield, and kicks off weeks of new rewards obtainable through Midseason Drops. The Guardian Shield comes with swords flying and hammers crashing, a little extra cover is all you need.
The Guardian Shield, which can be found in Oathbound Chests, places a protective barrier in front of you that blocks incoming damage. This shield can be raised as a mobile cover when you and the team are on the move or thrown on the ground for stationary permanent protection. The barrier won’t last forever, so watch the shield change color to indicate when it’s about to run out.

Now you can unlock more drops every week with Midseason Drops. It will have become all more exciting for the fans. With the January 3rd v23.10 hotfix, the first Midseason Drop, well it has dropped by now. Midseason Drops are a new addition this season and can be obtained by alternate clothing styles for the Battle Pass for Chapter 4 Season 1. Starting this week, get 10 account levels to get a new skin for Selene. Over the next four weeks, continue to gain account levels and get Midseason Drops for Massai, Doom Slayer, Dusty, and Nezumi.
Midseason Drops can be viewed in the Midseason Drops section of the Battle Pass tab. Jump in the game, level up, and then finally in the “look good” section.
