Fortnite V20.40 Update: Sideways Showdown Week and many new changes have arrived- The Fortnite Team has released the Fortnite V20.40 Update as the Resistance emerged victorious in the Battle for Tilted Towers. In this update, Sideways weapons will make a comeback. Players will also be able to vote at Funding Stations. New changes have also arrived to increase the quality of gameplay.
Fortnite Lastest Update: Sideways Showdown Week
Sideways Showdown Week will be available for players till 08:59 AM ET on May 24. During this event, the Sideways Rifle and Sideways Minigun are out of the vault. Players can also complete Sideways Showdown Week Quests to earn extra XP.
Fortnite Latest Update: Shield Bubbles vs Balloons
Players can vote for either Shield Bubbles or Balloons at the Funding Stations found at all major POIs. The first one that claims 100% Funded from global contributions will be declared as the winner and will be added to the loot pool of the game immediately.
Fortnite Latest Update: High utility drops in Zero Build mode
The Fortnite team had increased the drop rate of utility items during trickshot unvaults last week. From now on, the drop rate of Shockwave Grenades, Rift-To-Gos, and Cow Catchers will be increased indefinitely in the Zero Build mode.

From this Fortnite Battle Royale v20.40 Update, V-Bucks purchased on PlayStation can be utilized by players across platforms that support Fortnite Shared Wallet. Thus, any V-Bucks earned on a specific platform through the Battle Pass, Quest Packs, or Save the World will be shared across all other platforms supporting Fortnite Shared Wallet. - Latency of the game reduced for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles:
The Fortnite Team has made many gameplay improvements by reducing the input latency of the “Low Input Latency Mode”. Now players can run the game more smoothly on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles at 60 FPS. - Steps to enable 120 FPS Fortnite gameplay on PlayStation 5:
To enable 120 FPS in Fortnite on PS5, players no longer need to go to the console settings. Remember that the 120 FPS option will not appear if your TV or AV receiver doesn’t support 120 FPS output. Here are the steps that they need to follow.- The open Settings menu in Fortnite from the Sidebar menu.
- Choose Video and select the 120 FPS Mode to ON.
- Click Apply.
Fortnite Latest Update: Changes in the Middle-East Server
There have been various networking changes being done for the Middle East server region. The selection choice for server regions has been changed from the Middle East to auto. It means that some players who are generally connected to Middle East servers will now connect to Europe or Asia. Players can switch back to the Middle East server region if do it manually. But it may result in high ping issues.
