Fortnite revenues will be donated to humanitarian help in Ukraine, according to Epic Games – Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 begins today, introducing a huge event in-game and celebrating the players’ achievements. Epic Games, the developer, and publisher, is using the occasion to raise funds and awareness for the people of Ukraine as a result of Russia’s ongoing assault. For the next two weeks, all Fortnite revenues will be donated to humanitarian help in Ukraine, according to Epic Games. Just hours before the update for Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 went live, Epic Games revealed their endeavor in a tweet. “From March 20, 2022, to April 3, 2022, Epic will donate all of its Fortnite revenues to humanitarian help for people affected by the Ukraine conflict.”

V-Buck packs, Fortnite Crew subscriptions, renewals gifting Battle Passes, and cosmetic packs contributed a total of two weeks’ worth of revenue to individuals in need. According to the Epic Games website, all proceeds will go to Direct Relief, UNICEF, the United Nations World Food Programme (UNWFP), and the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR). Epic will accelerate these donations, as stated in the FAQ on this page, and will not even wait for actual monies to arrive from payment partners.

Over the last month, we’ve seen a slew of video game firms demonstrate their support for Ukraine by donating money to those escaping Russian soldiers. Because Epic Games timed this announcement to coincide with the start of Chapter 3 Season 2, all of the “new season hype” will contribute to the cause. Everything will be counted, including Battle Pass purchases, Item Shop Outfits, and everything in between.

Additionally, Epic Games announced that Xbox would join them in this effort, donating all of their net profits from Fortnite during the same time period. Epic Games’ latest move is a powerful display of support for Ukraine’s people. The second season of Fortnite Chapter 3 is now available, with all earnings going to humanitarian help.
