Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 official trailer has been released, Teases new Carnage skin. Fortnite went down for all servers around the globe tonight for the launch of Chapter 2 Season 8 of the game. Fortnite officially released the trailer of chapter 2 season 8 on its social media handles a few hours ago. The trailer teased the new Carnage skin which might be available in the game. At the end of the trailer, we can see glimpses of a red character with claws and tentacles. This indicates the obvious Marvel character: Spider-Man villain Carnage who might be added to the game.
The official launch date of Chapter 2 Season 8 is today itself however the downtime has taken all servers down. Server downtime for Chapter 2 Season 8 (v18.00) begins on September 13 at 02:00 AM ET (06:00 UTC). As we can see in the trailer, Carnage has not been clearly shown in the trailer hence we cannot confirm the launch of the new skin. However, according to insider reports and leaks, Fortnite is going to collaborate with the all-new Marvel character Spider-Man villain Carnage to launch a new skin based on it. The new Marvel movie Venom: Let There Be Carnage is going to be in the theatres next month onwards. We have previously seen how often Fortnite and Marvel pull off a collaboration to introduce a character skin in the item shop.
From the trailer, we also understand that the mothership has crashed on the battleground after being destroyed. This means that there might be a few changes in the Fortnite Map since there are objects and cubes falling from the sky on the map. Possible destruction on the map and the emergence of new locations is highly possible.
