Fortnite BR 5th Anniversary: Celebrate the 5th Anniversary of Fortnite with new Quests and Fortography – Although it may be hard to believe, Fortnite battle royale was released five years ago on September 26, 2017. Since then, the game has evolved beyond its Tower Defense and Battle Royale roots to become a platform for different game modes and experiences. Fortnite Battle Royale’s fifth birthday party plans have been announced, and it’s coming with new free items. Starting on September 23rd, players will be able to complete birthday quests and receive new birthday-themed gifts. The event ends on September 27th, so you have less than a week to get your free items.

Birthday quests will use these unvaulted birthday items, including birthday presents, cake, and balloons. Completing these tasks will reward you with an item, and completing all of them will earn you the full set. The trio of items you can get is the Sparklecake Emoticon, Celebratory Slice Pickaxe, and Fuzzfetti Cake Back Bling. The cakes in the Pickaxe and Back Bling items are covered in chrome icing to match the theme of the season.
The birthday celebrations don’t stop there, as Epic has announced the return of Fortography. Fortography is basically Fortnite photography that is done using the replay function to create interesting scenes and capture screenshots. The theme of this Fortographic celebration is, of course, birthdays.
Players can send their best screenshots to celebrate Fortnite’s birthday to other players or just share their favorite memories of the game. The best images will be shared on the Fortnite blog on October 7th. To submit your entries to Fortography, use #FNBR5 on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook, or the Fortography flair on the Fortnite Battle Royale subreddit.
