Following Grace’s sealing to FaZe, Rain, and Grace engaged in a back-and-forth exchange of videos and postings. Rain actually leaked Grace’s announcement days in advance and hurled a few curses at the actress personally.
Grace didn’t take long to respond to FaZe Rain’s critical comments. She responded to his verbal abuse in a recent stream by disputing his claim that she didn’t understand what a trickshot was. “He says I don’t even know what a trickshot is, you’re right, I don’t. And I know that’s kinda what you’re known for. But I know you, Rain, as the person who almost overdosed on a live stream, and I know that you are better now and I’m really proud of you for that.”
Finally, on May 29, FaZe Rain took to his Instagram stories and announced that he and Grace would meet up to create a video in an effort to resolve their issues However, the meetup went something like this, which is evident from their conversation.
“How could you let other people hurt your feelings?” he said at one point in their conversation. “Do you not believe in yourself? Are you, not a confident woman? You should be. You’ve accomplished great things. You should be confident in yourself.” “…if I call you mid, you should be like, ‘F*ck him,’” he continued. “Who cares what I say? And if you bring up my drug past – are you getting emotional?”
It was at this point the discussion was turning sour. Grace was teary-eyed. “Yeah,” she answered. “I don’t like you.” “Okay, that’s fine,” he replied. “I’m just being very logical. I understand how you feel, but you brought things up against me.” Grace rushed out of the room crying after being asked why she felt that way, responding that she “didn’t owe him any explanation.”
FaZe Clan quickly tweeted a brief statement about the incident following Rain’s video. FaZe publicly supported Grace in their tweet and referred to the manner she was treated as “in no way okay.”
FaZe is no stranger to contrasting viewpoints and passionate opinions on the future of the brand. Recruitment has always drawn that out. But make no mistake, the mistreatment of our newest member is in no way OK. Grace joined in hopes to bring her voice to FaZe & we stand by her.

FaZe Rain offered more details regarding the circumstance. He admitted that a lot of the things he said to Van Dien were meant as jokes. Van Dien, though, believed some of his comments were offensive. Unfortunately, their attempt to have a constructive discussion seems to have taken a negative turn. In her private Twitter account, Van Dien revealed that she left the situation feeling upset and in tears.
