Evil Geniuses announced their partnership with America’s Navy. Their Genius expertise has been recruited by America’s Navy to help them build their very first esports team with their sailors. Moreover, the team will support them in the creation of an exclusive six-episode content series.
The esports team will be made up of Navy Sailors, Goats & Glory. The program started off from March 15th, where they will field and train a group of highly-skilled Sailors with the help of Evil Geniuses’ world-championship CS: GO squad, representing cutting-edge fields in the Navy to compete in CS: GO tournaments and events.
[blockquote footer=”Nicole LaPointe Jameson, CEO of Evil Geniuses”]It’s an incredible honour to partner with America’s Navy as they take this step forward into esports. As one of the industry’s founding and most storied teams, EG has a legacy of excellence, teamwork, and discipline —values we are proud to share with the Navy. We are humbled to stand shoulder to shoulder with this incredible institution, and we can’t wait to show our fans what comes next.[/blockquote]
In addition to preparing for the esports tournaments, a content series of six episodes will feature the Evil Geniuses’ team around the world of Navy. Along with Sailors from across the fleet, Goats & Glory and the Evil Geniuses will swap tips on teamwork, training mental dexterity and discover how their skills as gamers can easily translate to careers in the Navy.
[blockquote footer=”Capt. Matt Boren, Chief Marketing Officer at Navy Recruiting Command”]Partnering with the Evil Geniuses provides the Navy with a unique opportunity to engage with some of the world’s top gamers and improve relatability with prospective Sailors.[/blockquote]
The partnership between the two has more things to come. Over the next few months, Evil Geniuses and Goats & Glory will team up at September’s TwitchCon event in San Diego. The EG team will play with their fans throughout the event, adding sailors to their squad.
