ESL says goodbye to RAINBOW SIX:SIEGE

As we all know ESL (Electronic Sports League) is an esports organizer and production company that produces video game competitions worldwide. ESL has been the organizing various events featuring various titles such as Counter-Strike, DOTA 2, PUBG, Rainbow Six. But recently ESL has announced its departure of Rainbow Six tournaments.

ESL has been hosting Rainbow Six tournaments since 2015. The first tournament was hosted on 28th December 2015 with 52 teams. Unfortunately, they are closing the title, they will no longer offer tournaments for Rainbow Six Siege on ESL Play. That includes the Open Ladder, Community Cups, Go4’s and most of the regional tournaments.

Till date ESL hosted 11 Season of Pro League featuring the game. Here are the few stats that ESL had with this Game.

  • 8000 Total Numbers of Tournaments
  • 455075 Total Signups
  • 659060 Total Matches Played
  • 369680 Total Check-ins

With the conclusion, the global program also comes the end of Go4R6, which was the grassroots tournament series.

ESL will continue to be part of the esports environment in the Asia and Pacific Region in cooperation with Ubisoft. This also means the continuation of the grassroots series exclusively in APAC.

The ESL team extended thanks to Ubisoft, the developer of the game for the opportunity and support throughout the years.
