ESL discloses the IEM Katowice And IEM Cologne Dates For 2023
Next year’s IEM Cologne will fall in the second part of the 2023 season for the first time due to changes to the CSPPA’s official summer tournament break, which moved the interval a month earlier compared to previous years. The authority said in July that the decision to start the break between June 12 and July 9 was made to split the year into two more balanced periods.
The schedule for these two events:
IEM Katowice 2023
- Play-In Stage – January 31st – February 1st
- Group Stage – February 2nd – 5th
- Playoffs – February 10th – 12th
IEM Cologne 2023
- Play-In Stage – July 25th – 26th
- Group Stage – July 27th – 30th
- Playoffs – August 4th – 6th
In the announcement, ESL also confirmed that both tournaments will be hosted by their iconic venues, with IEM Katowice returning to Spodek Arena for the eleventh time in its history, while the seventh edition of IEM Cologne will return to LANXESS Arena.
“It’s always an honor to invite fans back to two of the most recognizable esports events worldwide,” said Shaun Clark, Senior Director of Game Ecosystems – CS: GO at ESL FACEIT Group. “We are already bubbling with excitement as we begin our annual planning to host two of the most passionate esports events,” it reads further.
Hopefully, these events will be bigger than their previous years. Fans must be really excited after hearing the dates of IEM Katowice and IEM Cologne in 2023. Comment down your thoughts regarding this disclosure by ESL.
