eFootball 22 OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE AND EVERYTHING WE KNOW ABOUT THE GAME:
Konami officially announced that eFootball PES 2021 will be updated to just “eFootball 22” on Thursday, 30th of September 2021 respectively. eFootball 22 launches just 2 days before its competitor EA sports’ new release: FIFA 22. The game has now been completely rebuilt with a new game engine built by “Unreal engine”. Unreal Engine is a game engine developed by “Epic games”, the developer of famous games like Fortnite, Fall Guys, and more.
Another important point to note about eFootball 22 is that the game is now free-to-play on console, unlike its previous versions where players had to purchase the game. Earlier the game was only free for mobile versions, but now Konami has taken this big step to gain a competitive edge over its direct competitors like EA sports’ football game, FIFA. Time will tell if Konami’s strategy pays off or not because according to rumors, even EA Sports has decided to launch free-to-play from FIFA 23 onwards.
