Dr Disrespect surges ahead of IShowSpeed in YouTube’s NA streaming race – Dr Disrespect, the two-time champion, managed to rise to the top in a fierce battle with IShowSpeed, a streamer who has been making waves in the streaming world. In the ever-escalating rivalry between YouTube and Twitch, it’s easy to overlook the fact that YouTube Gaming boasts some of North America’s most popular streamers. Throughout the third quarter of 2023, Dr Disrespect and IShowSpeed went head to head, competing for the title of the most-watched streamer on YouTube.
These two streaming giants managed to accumulate more hours watched than any other creator in the platform’s gaming category. Despite IShowSpeed having a substantial lead over Dr Disrespect at the end of 2022, the last few months have seen the Champion’s Club leader make a triumphant comeback.

Dr Disrespect’s dominance extended beyond North America, as he was the only English-speaking streamer to make it into the top 10 on YouTube Gaming globally, securing the 8th position.
On the global scale, retired Mobile Legends pro-Jonathan ‘Emperor’ Liandi reigned supreme, amassing over 8 million hours of watch time. The second spot was claimed by the Japanese VTuber Pekora, with a significant viewership.
As we near the end of 2023, it remains to be seen whether Dr Disrespect and IShowSpeed can climb further up the overall rankings. While Dr Disrespect appears content with his improved relationship with YouTube and his decision not to pursue a $50 million contract with Kick, IShowSpeed was recently unbanned on Twitch, and there’s the potential for him to make a grand return to the purple platform.
