DOTA 2 Esport: Evil Geniuses and T1 disband their rosters soon after TI11, Here are the details – With the crowning of Tundra Esports as The International 11 champions, the off-season period for the DOTA 2 esports scene has begun. The official DOTA Pro Circuit (DPC) of 2023 has not yet been announced so teams are rearranging themselves for the next season.

In this off-season, Evil Geniuses and T1 become the first teams to completely release their DOTA 2 rosters. Here are all the details.

DOTA 2 Esport: Evil Geniuses and T1 disband their rosters soon after TI11, Here are the details

Evil Geniuses’ move to release their entire roster (Abed, Cr1t-, Arteezy, Fly, Nightfall, and BuLba) might be related to the team’s inability to produce exceptional results at international tournaments. The last time EG won a Major in DOTA 2 was back in 2017. Their roster failed to reach even the top five at The International 2022.

Arteezy, Cr1t-, and BuLba have been a part of the organization since 2016-2017. One can even count Fly as a veteran even though he went to Talon for some time before returning back to EG.

As one of the major DOTA 2 powerhouses in North America, fans can expect EG to bring in fresh talent and maybe some veterans as well. Anyways, a brand new team will soon be presented by EG.

t1 disbands its dota 2 roster

T1 might have hoped to get some miraculous results at The International 2022 by signing two-time champions Topson and ana at the last moment. Unfortunately, the team was not able to synergize well and had underwhelming results. They failed to even qualify for TI11 as they got knocked out in the Last Qualifiers.

Now the organization has decided to disband its DOTA 2 roster, releasing ana, Topson, Kuku, Xepher, and Whitemon. There are still no signs as to who T1 might sign up for their DOTA 2 team for DPC SEA 2022/2023.

As soon as the dates for the upcoming 2023 DPC season are announced, we will see more such releases or team changes. Stay tuned to get the latest updates from the DOTA 2 off-season before DPC 2023 begins.
