Dignitas Esports Announced Collaboration With United States Air Force to raise the Competitive spirit: The world of eSports now officially welcoming a new agreement between Dignitas eSports vertical, and the United States Air Force (USAF). The United States Air Force, as an Official Military Service Partner of Dignitas, has declared that it would now collaborate with this organization to raise the competitive spirit to new heights.
The esports organization announced today on its blog that it will engage with the US Air Force on competitive broadcast events and digital experiences, among other things. The partnership’s purpose will be to highlight the US Air Force’s technology components and prospects for developing unique content experiences with talent. The organizations will collaborate to design and host an online broadcast esports tournament in the second half of 2021, building on the success of the Dignitas and US Air Force 2020 ‘Wingman Series’ Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Tournament.
The USAF and Dignitas are going to launch many collaboration initiatives involving esports gamers and other Dignitas stars, according to management. The parties intend to demonstrate their “common spirit of competition through instructive, inspirational, and interactive content,” according to the release. The deal’s financial details, as well as the time frame for which it is intended, were not released.
In a statement to Press, Dignitas Vice President of Partnership John Spiher said of the partnership:
“Dignitas is honored to be associated with one of the world’s most technologically sophisticated and career-enabling businesses. Our lineup of professional players and designers is highly analytical, focused, goal-oriented, and precision-driven, attributes shared by US Air Force military and reserve women and servicemen, reflecting Dignitas’ fan base.”
Dignitas isn’t the first American esports team to collaborate with the US Air Force. In 2018, the department made a similar agreement with Cloud9. Other military branches have also teamed up with Complexity Gaming, NRG Esports, and several Call of Duty teams.
