Damwon Gaming started Game 1 of the finals versus T1 with a dominant performance, setting the tone for the rest of the series. Camille, played by Kim “Khan” Dong-ha, was unstoppable, with an 11/0/7 kill/death/assist ratio. With 22 kills across all four games, the top laner, who will be joining the military for his necessary service, relished his final moments in the LCK. While T1 recovered in Game 3, they were unable to keep up with ShowMaker’s Leblanc in Game 4, who had half of DWG-KIA’s kills.
The Damwon KIA team, which gained popularity in 2019, was viewed as an inexperienced group of talented athletes. After being eliminated from G2 at the World Championship that year, they went on to win the league and the World Championship the next year. Despite the fact that the lineup built on Showmaker and Canyon was first switched to the shooter and subsequently to the top lane, they were able to reclaim control of the Korean league.

On the other hand, today’s T1 team’s performance was disappointing, as they beat GenG in the semi-finals and went to the final. They would have ended Damwon KIA’s reign if they were champions. T1, who fell 3-1 in the final against his opponent, will be seeded third or fourth in the World Championship, depending on his performance in the Regional Finals.
