‘CS: GO difficulty seems like a joke if compared to Valorant’ says Sentinel’s newest star Shroud

‘CS: GO difficulty seems like a joke if compared to Valorant’ says Sentinel’s newest star Shroud – In the opinion of Sentinel’s brand-new star Shroud, Valorant is a much harder game than tactical shooter rival CS: GO. Although his opinion on the two often seems to oscillate from time to time, opens up on the difficulty level of Valorant as he prepares himself for the highly anticipated Valorant pro debut in VCT NA Last Chance Qualifier.

Currently, the former Counter-Strike pro is boot camping with Sentinels in Texas for his upcoming debut on the way next week. In his preparation for the game, he is awake day and night grinding for the tournament with his new team companions. During a Twitch stream, he drew a comparison of Counter-Strike with Valorant and his reason to believe that Riot’s FPS is much more challenging than Valve’s. After remaining the longest-standing player on cloud9 CS: GO he says, “CS looks like a joke compared to Valorant, I’m telling you,”

He said on a recent stream, “There’s no sugarcoating it or anything. [VALORANT] just hard. Maybe that’s why. It keeps the competition high.”

Shroud went on to hypothesize why Valorant is a more difficult game than CS: GO and considered how skilled players are in both titles. “I wonder if it’s hard because everyone is so good and if everyone is so good because the game is arguably easier,” he pondered. “It keeps the competition high.”

Despite CS: GO being considered more mechanically challenging, Valorant is still thought to possess a greater tactical depth with its different agents, utilities, and ultimate economy. The game also requires the players to build a better ability to adapt to mid-round situations, such as unexpectedly losing your controller agent and all smokes early on in the round. The 28-year-old professional VALORANT player will play his first-ever pro Valorant match against VCT NA Stage 1 Challengers champions The Guard on August 4.
