YouTube’s foremost content creator, MrBeast, made the official announcement of the Creator League to his staggering 178 million subscribers on September 2, 2023. He not only outlined the league’s structure but also detailed avenues for fans to actively participate when it goes live from September 8 to 10, 2023.

The inaugural season of the Creator League boasts eight creator-managed teams set to engage in diverse games over a 10-month-long season. Notably, these creators will actively oversee their respective teams. The lineup of creator-managed teams for Season 1 is as follows:

Fan Engagement with the Creator League
Enthusiastic fans have the unique opportunity to become active participants in the Creator League through the acquisition of ‘community passes’ priced at $19.99. With these passes, fans can select the creator team they wish to support. Notably, in collaboration with MrBeast’s Feastables, fans who secure a community pass before September 9 will receive a complimentary box of Feastables.
Holders of community passes will gain exclusive privileges, including the ability to influence their team’s roster through voting on players. Furthermore, they will have the chance to vie for a position on their chosen creator’s team during the season, including participation in the first $50,000 three-day open qualifier from September 8 to 10.
The Creator League Season 1 Schedule
The inaugural season of the Creator League offers a thrilling calendar of events:
- Open Qualifier (September 8 – 10): A three-day qualifier accessible to all players, featuring 3v3 Zero Build Fortnite. Competitors have the opportunity to vie for a $50,000 prize pool and secure a coveted spot on their preferred creator’s team.
- Creator League Show Launch (September 13): A live, hour-long show that will encompass a team draft and real-time team voting to determine initial strategic decisions.
- League Launch (September 19): The league’s maiden competitive event, featuring Fortnite.
- First Split Final (October 3 – 5): Split one playoff and finals in Fortnite, offering guaranteed payouts for all participants, including fans who earn a spot on the team.

Duration of the Creator League Season
The inaugural season of the Creator League, spanning 10 months, will be subdivided into four splits:
- Split 1: September 8 – October 5
- Split 2: October 20 – November 24
- Split 3: January 12 – February 8
- Split 4: February 23 – March 21
